This is not just a Preview of OKTA. In this report, we will analyze in detail why OKTA will become a clear AI beneficiary stock in the era of AI Agents. As the Agent explosion day approaches, the demand for identity authentication represented by OKTA will increase significantly. We will also share the OKTA sales pipeline completion status observed in our latest interviews, and we are pleased to see the sales efficiency improvements brought by OKTA's organizational restructuring. This gives us more confidence in OKTA's AI Playbook for the coming year.

In our recent research into real-world enterprise deployment of AI agents, we identified two major hurdles that companies consistently face:

  • Data integration, which is foundational for building enterprise-specific AI agents.

  • Identity and access management (IAM), ensuring that the right individuals are authorized to access and execute tasks via the right AI agents.

This led us to take a closer look at Okta, one of the leading players in the identity management space.

In the following report, we will analyze in detail:

  • Overview of Okta's core products

  • Changes in company fundamentals

  • Market size and penetration

  • Structural and product updates (especially related to AI agents)

  • Quarterly performance

  • Full-year outlook

This week we will also have C3.AI Preview, CRM Preview, NVDA Preview, and MDB Preview.

Identity: From Human-Centric to Human and His/Her Agents-Centric

Historically, identity control has been designed for a one-to-one interaction between humans and traditional applications. However, this paradigm is about to shift dramatically. As organizations evolve toward a model where each individual supervises multiple AI agents—agents that collaborate, act semi-autonomously, and execute sensitive tasks—identity management will no longer scale linearly.

We believe this shift could multiply identity-related transaction volume by an order of magnitude, opening up massive monetization opportunities for vendors like Okta.

Current Phase: AI agents are largely seen as extensions of individual users. Identity architectures are still human-centric, with authorization frameworks billing by headcount or monthly active users (MAU). This model assumes that “Person A controls Agent A” and acts as a single identity node.

Future Phase: We anticipate a much more complex environment:

  • Person A may collaborate directly with an agent controlled by Person B

  • Person A’s Agent 1 may collaborate with Person B’s Agent 1 autonomously

  • Entire workflows may be conducted agent-to-agent without human intervention

In such cases, identity must be established and verified for each individual agent, with granular permissioning, auditing, and lifecycle governance. If a single user oversees 10 agents, the addressable market for access management expands by 10x. Security policy enforcement, risk monitoring, and compliance tooling will scale geometrically in complexity—and so will demand.

We've also spoken with identity security experts who confirm that vendors are already working on constructing virtual identity frameworks for each agent, which further validates our thesis.
